Dr. Zahid Rizwan, Assistant Professor Physics, has an excellent academic record and is HEC approved PhD supervisor at NTU. He did his M. Phil in Solid State Physics (1993) from the Punjab University. He got his PhD from Malaysia in 2007 in the field of Applied Optics “Photothermal and electrical characterization of ZnO based varistor system”, followed by his Post Doctorate “Investigation of nano-particle materials for the conversion of solar energy using low cost thin film techniques”. He has presented 20 papers in International conferences. He has 24 research publications. He is responsible for R & D division of NTU.

Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Raza is Assistant Professor of Chemistry and HEC approved PhD supervisor at NTU. His research areas include: bioremediation, biomaterials, colloidal chemistry, nanobiotechnology and textile chemistry. He has 12 publications with an Impact Factor of 19.641. He has been honored with the Research Contribution Award for the year 2009 by Chairman Board of Governors, University of Faisalabad. He is honorary referee of several international science journals. He has completed a research project viz. “Production of Biosurfactants from Industrial Waste Materials” during his PhD studies (2003-7) sponsored by the HEC. His research group has established the fabrication of various nano- and microstructures from various novel biomaterials including rhamnolipids, polyhyroxyalkanoates, alginates, modified chitosan, essential oils, etc. |

A Textile Technologist by Profession, Dr. Muhammad Sarwar Rana obtained his B.Sc. Textile Technology from Textile College Faisalabad in 1969 (Presently NTU). After serving textile industry for one year, he left for higher studies where he obtained his MPhil in 1972 from Leeds University & PhD in 1977 from University of Bradford UK. He joined a textile Research Centre in 1978 in Karachi set up by UNIDO. In 1980, he re-joined textile industry & served it for 28 years continuously at various positions. Before joining teaching profession in 2008, he was working as Director Technical JUMNA Group of industries in Bangla Desh. Presently, he is working as Chairman Department of Material & Testing as well as Deputy Director Research & Development Division of NTU. |
