Clubs and Societies
It has organized following events up to now.
1. Industrial Tour of students in AA Spinning Mills
Spinning society 2011 arranged its first tour to AA Spinning Mills, Faisalabad. A tour of almost 40 students of 4th semester accompanied by Chairman of the yarn manufacturing department “Mr. Hafiz Shahzad Maqsood” and “Mr. Uzair Hussain”.
General Manager Mr. Tariq Nazeer received the students on main gate and they welcomed with an open heart. Students were divided into three groups and unit was visited. There was refreshment after the tour.
2. Inauguration of “TECHNICAL TEXTILES BOARD” in Testing Lab:
A board is displayed in testing lab which has been approved by Dr. Mumtaz Malik and here are samples of Technical Textiles given by i-Textiles Pvt. Ltd & Syntech Fibres Pvt. Ltd. This board has given a name of “Technical Textiles” and inaugurated by Mr. Saleem Raza.
3. Industrial Tour of students in Nisar Spinning Mills (Pvt) ltd. , Raiwind, Lahore
Spinning society 2011 arranged its third event on June 04, 2011. A tour of almost 45 students of 7th semester accompanied by Mr. Zulifqar Ali.
General Manager Mr. Snaullah Khan and Mills Manager Mr. Faisal Tufail received the students on main gate and they welcomed with an open heart. Students were divided into three groups and unit was visited. There was refreshment after the tour . At the end a photo session was held in which General Manager and other staff member had snaps with the students. The entire student appreciated the tour.
4. Industrial Tour of students in Masood Spinning Mill, Khanewal
There was another successful event held by society. A tour of almost 40 students of 5th semester accompanied by faculty member on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at about 10: 30 am students was conducted. General Manager Mr. Muhammad Sadiq Awan received the students on main gate and they welcomed with an open heart. Students were divided into three groups and unit # 1 was visited and then unit # 2. There was refreshment after the tour.
5.Publishing Spintech 2010-11:
The fourth volume of Spintech was published. All the work was completed by team.It is also available in pdf form. It has updated the essential knowledge among the students.
6. Industrial Tour to Naveena Spinning Mill ,Lahore , Pakistan.
Industrial visit of Naveena Spinning Mill for the students of 7th Semester has been arranged on Saturday, June 25, 2011. All the Spinning Students of 7th semester reached the Campus at 8:30 am sharp &university bus depart at 8:45 am. The students follow proper dress code and a note book.
Mr. Waseem Randhawa received the students. Students were divided to three groups to visit the Mill. Staff of mill was very cooperative there. To capture the moment’s snaps were taken.
7. Workshop by SMEDA on “Energy Efficiency and Energy Audit”

8. Lecture by Mr. Zahid Ahmad (Director Technical, Riaz Textile Mills Pvt Ltd.)
Spinning society 2011 arranged a lecture on the topic of “Problems faced by our Graduates in Current situation of industry” The lecture was arranged with the collaboration of Chairman of the yarn manufacturing department “Dr. Zulifqar Ali”.All the final year students listen the lecture.

Spinning society 2011 arranged a lecture on the topic of “Production of Slub, Multi count and Multi twist yarn”.The lecture was arranged with the collaboration of Chairman of the yarn manufacturing department and Spinning Society 2011. All the final year students listen the lecture.

10. Inauguration Ceremony of RSB D 40 Draw Frame denoted and Seminar by Rieter, Switzerland
An event was organized on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 3:00 pm in National Textile University, Faisalabad with the collaboration of SIMAG (Pvt) Ltd., and Spinning Society-2011 of Department of Yarn Manufacturing on inauguration ceremony of latest drawing frame RSB D40 donated by RIETER, Switzerland, a leading Textile Machinery Manufacturer. On this occasion Mr. Peter Minder the Area Manager of RIETER explained about drawing frame RIETER and good relations with National Textile University.

Dr. Mumtaz Hasan Malik explained the aims and importance of textile industry upon the economy of Pakistan. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Rector of National Textile University paid thanks to Mr. Peter Minder, RIETER and SIMAG on this donation. Deans of University, Chairmen of all departments, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Chairman along with the faculty of Department of Yarn Manufacturing, General Managers from different textile mills of the country, final year students and the staff of the Department of Yarn Manufacturing was also there. All the arrangements were done by Mr. Mohsin Masood, President Spinning Society – 2011
At the end there was a refreshment also.
