INFORMATION SERVICES

BORROWING SERVICE - Borrowing of library material is available for all registered users with different privileges.

RESERVATION - Any book in the catalogue can be reserved. You will be notified when the book is available.

REFERENCE SERVICE - Active help desks provide efficient and reliable services reference assistance in person. Library also provides reference service through email.

ADVISORY SERVICE – The Career and Education Advisory service for studies abroad is available to provide latest and comprehensive information and advice to the students.

USER EDUCATION - To optimize the use of its resources and services library conducts information literacy sessions for its users. The professional staff of the library also briefs visitors and delegates.

ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE – Library Administration maintained three terminals (expect to increase very soon) for searching online public access catalog to enable the users to search and find required information material in no time.

INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT: BIBLIOGRAPHIC SERVICES - Library generates subject bibliographies for instructional support.

PHOTOCOPYING SERVICE - Photocopying set up has been installed in the library and photocopy service is available on nominal charges.

PRESS CLIPPING - Monthly index of major National English Dailies according to the proposed keywords e.g. Trade & Finance, Textiles, Engineering, Environment, International Relations, etc. is available. Newspaper index published in NTU Library Bulletin.

JOURNALS/ MAGAZINES INDEX - To fulfill the information needs of the patrons, periodical indexing service is an advance service for an academic library. NTU Library disseminate Journals/ Magazines index of subscribed journals/ Magazines through NTU Library Bulletin.

LIBRARY BULLETIN - Library bulletin provides the latest and comprehensive information about the NTU and library e.g. College News, New Arrivals at Library, Monthly Newspaper Index, Journals/ Magazines Index, Important Web Resources etc. Library Bulletin published quarterly.

ONLINE RESOURCES SEARCHING SERVICE - NTU library provides online resources searching service on special request from patron. This service enable the library users to find latest and comprehensive information related to their assignment/ projects/ thesis etc.

ELECTRONIC SERVICES - Library provides the Internet, Web searching and printing services to the students free of charges.

INFORMATION SEARCHING Users may search OPACs (Online Public Access Catalogs) terminals, available in library premises to search appropriate information material by different and multiple options e.g.
